First Congregational Church of Oakland
seeks to welcome people of all racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds; ages; abilities; gender identities; and sexual orientations into Beloved Community. Together, we discover our gifts; develop authentic relationships with God and each other; join in passionate, creative, Spirit-led worship; grow in faith, understanding, power, love, and service; and respond to the word of life we encounter in Jesus Christ by becoming part of what Spirit is doing to create justice and peace, heal the earth, and restore kinship with all creation.

Renting Space

Unfortunately, due to COVID–19, the building is currently closed. While Governor Gavin Newsom has declared the State of California to be open on June 15, 2021, First Congregational Church of Oakland will not be reopening on this date. At this time we are planning a slower, phased–in approach to reopening by inviting established groups to return over the course of several months starting in the Fall. We are not accepting new groups or events until we see how the situaton with returning groups plays out. Thank you for your patience. We look forward to hearing from you for 2022 events.
