Joslin L. Kearse-High is a member of City of Refuge UCC in Oakland. Her current academic pursuits include a critical examination of politically correct language, the collective agreements made based on language usage and their long standing spiritual and psychological impacts.

She resides in Berkeley with her wife, Shannon C. Kearse-High who also a seminarian at Pacific School of Religion. Together they have a blended family including four adult children of whom they are extremely proud.

Joslin hopes to enter parish ministry within the UCC upon completion of her seminary education
